<image:caption>Ballintoy Harbour getting a few moments of sunshine during a storm which resulted in massive waves. I stood for quite a while waiting on the right wave to capture this image getting soaked multiple times. The tide had still not yet reached its highest when I captured this and still had another hour to go.

I stayed for about half an hour after I captured this. The waves seemed to be increasing in size so I decided that it was time to leave. I am really happy that I decided to leave when I did as the heavy rain came on.</image:caption>

An amazing view of the mountain from the main A82 road makes it appear quite unassailable and is one of the most photographed sights in the highlands of Scotland. It is known simply as The Buachaille to climbers.

This location is one that I have wanted to see for a very long time. When I arrived I got really emotional and cried.

I first saw the images a few days ago from a fellow photographers page and thought that they looked amazing.

On my way there it stayed dry. As soon as I stepped foot into the field the heavens opened and for around 10 minutes I was stood underneath the trees. The rain eventually died off and I got some shots that I am really happy with.</image:caption>

<image:caption>On Saturday morning I had a whole day planned for photography and numerous locations across the County Antrim coastal route. I got to Larne where I started my trip and immediately noticed the waves. I got my hopes up that it would be like this further on round. On the drive round I was getting more excited as there was seaweed on the roads and the waves where coming over the wall. For alot of people this would be a scary experience but for me this is exhilarating. I have always had one location in mind for stormy seas and yes you guessed correctly, Ballintoy. I decided to pay my friends in O'Rourkes a visit, what more could a girl ask for, stormy seas, excellent photo opportunities and great company.

My visit paid off, I managed to capture this image which is one that I have never seen before as I have never seen the sea so high and waves so rough here. I am also extremely happy I had my wellies on when two large waves came over the rocks to the left and the pier to the right. Love it.</image:caption>

I had my water boots on and was standing a good bit back from the waves when one massive wave same in going right up to my knees resulting in me getting a good soaking but I was worth it.</image:caption>

I positioned myself right on the edge of the slippy rocks to capture this shot. i was aware to the right of me was a very deep area of water, I had to be extremely careful with my footing and tripod in order not to fall in.

This is also the waterfall that I managed to capture a shot from right beside the flow and the noise this particular day was deafening.

<image:caption>Today I headed around the coast to meet some friends for lunch. I brought my camera gear with me 'just incase' I saw something as there have been a number of times that I have missed a picture opportunity.

After lunch I took a little walk around Dunseverick Waterfall with the intention of getting some long exposure shots of the falls. After I got the shots at the waterfall I wandered along to the Harbour and noticed the light with some pastel pink colours in the sky and the jetty covered with water.

I made the most of this and took some long exposure shots. The flow of water coming over the jetty was quite quiet and very relaxing. Whilst waiting I had the company of a Seal in the harbour who kept watch on me. Once I packed my camera gear away the seal didnt appear again.

This one I am extremely happy with. </image:caption>

<image:caption>Saturday morning I checked the weather to see that there was snowfall in some parts of County Antrim so I decided to take a drive to the Dark Hedges.

On the drive down all I could see for miles was thick snow and I got excited thinking about seeing the Dark Hedges in the snow as I have wanted to see it for a long time.

I got to the turn off for the Dark Hedges junction and tried to make my way up the incline but at this section it was more like ice and the car began sliding so had to park the car at the bottom of the road and walk up.

When I walked down the lane I decided to take my time on a composition as there was no one else in sight. I saw this view and fell in love with it and knew this was the moment that I needed to capture.

This image makes me very happy. </image:caption>

On my arrival I could see that the waves where as I expected so I got my camera and tripod and took a little walk. I checked out various compositions before deciding on this one. The sky was beautiful with shades of orange bursting through the grey clouds. I am glad I stopped otherwise I wouldn't have captured this image that I am totally loving.</image:caption>

On arrival the sun was shining and it was very hot. Parts of the old road started melting. My friend and I decided to walk along the old road and head over towards this tower. The further along we got the more muddy it became so we stopped and captured a few images from there.

I just loved the composition of this shot and the contrast between the colours.</image:caption>

We arrived about 20 minutes before sunrise but on the drive there I could already see the early morning colours and started to doubt myself that I had got the times wrong.

I managed to come away with this shot. One thing I love when out for sunrises is the sheer beauty of them and how they silence you. It really makes you appreciate the simple things like getting up to watch a sunrise</image:caption>

<image:caption>So on Sunday I took myself round the coast for some waterfall shots as I thought they would have been heavy due to the constant rain. I was disappointed that alot of them were nomore than a trickle.

I headed to Ballintoy to go to O'Roarkes for a cup of tea to warm up and was excited when I arrived to see the waves were quite rough. So for the next 3 hours I was in and out of the sea getting pictures and getting soaked. I got my cup of tea and headed to Ballycastle to see if I could capture this image which I have wanted to capture for many years.

So 2 pairs of leggings, 3 pairs of socks and a very wet pair of wellies later I managed to get the shot I wanted.</image:caption>

<image:caption>A few weeks ago on my recent road trip I decided to visit Whitby but on the way back to Cumbria I decided to go the long way round and went through Egton Moor.

I spotted this lone tree in amongst the Heather from the roadside and decided to try and capture it.

I arrived at the tree and decided upon my composition. I then heard voices so I stopped what I was doing and looked around for walkers but couldnt see anyone as I had a clear 360 degree view from this location.

Just as I was about to take the shot I heard the same voices again but much clearer and it was at this point I realised I was listening to children playing. The sky was becoming more dramatic and I wanted to capture as many shots as possible but at the same time I felt uneasy at the location because of what I had heard and the darkening sky.</image:caption>

I captured this image in a local area and spent around 30 minutes following this Bumble Bee fly from flower to flower. I captured alot of images that i am extremely happy with but this one is a personal favorite.

I thank all my followers for sticking with me at this difficult time and hope you all like.</image:caption>

<image:caption>On Sunday afternoon I took myself out a drive to Dungonnell Reservoir. On the way there I noticed that there was a light mist appearing so I kept this in mind for the drive home. I had driven past a lovely spot of trees with a little colour and hoped that the mist would be thicker on the way back.

I spent around two hours at Dungonnell Reservoir and got a few shots that I was happy with. The mist came down here thick and fast so I headed back to the car. I took my time on the way back to the above location as you couldnt see a great deal. I parked in a small layby and put my hazard lights on and kept myself to the side of the road to keep myself safe. After a few minutes of walking up and down the road I decided on this composition as I love the colour of the trees and the grass but love how the road just vanishes.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This little boathouse sits in Ballintoy Harbour which was made famous thanks to Game Of Thrones. Strong North Westerly winds created some epic waves.

I have been here many times in stormy conditions but have never seen the inner harbour with such a high swell. I was standing on the far side of the harbour watching the waves come up the slipway and thought that if I was lucky enough to capture a large wave receeding that it would make for an interesting shot.

<image:caption>A few days ago I took myself to Dungonnell Reservoir for some fresh air and a nice walk. I took my camera with me as I thought I might be able to get some images whilst there. On the drive up the fog started to roll in and I was considering turning around and heading home as it was also quite cold.

I decided to continue on my journey to see what it was like at the reservoir as I knew it wouldnt take me long returning home if it was really bad.

On the drive up to Cargan the snow was still on the road and a light scattering on the hills but when I walked down the path towards the reservoir I kept hearing this strange noise. It didnt take long for me to figure out what it was. The whole reservoir was frozen and the noise I kept hearing was people throwing stones onto the ice and it skiming across the ice. I am so glad I decided to continue with my journey otherwise I wouldnt have seen this amazing sight.</image:caption>

<image:caption>For the last few weeks I have been waking up in the early hours and not being able to get back to sleep. So I checked the weather forecast for Downhill Beach and decided to head down for sunrise.

The roads were frosty so I took my time driving down and arrived about 45 minutes before sunrise so I made myself a cup of tea before I headed out on to the beach.

I could see some colour peeping through the clouds and had a walk round to decide on my composition. I wanted to capture some motion in the incoming tide but didnt want too long of an exposure. I managed to capture a good selection of images which I will be posting in the coming weeks.</image:caption>

<image:caption>A few days ago I took a drive in the snow and headed up over the mountains and headed towards Ballycastle. On the drive down towards Loughareema (The Vanishing Lake) I could see that the water was still but it was only when I got closer I realised that the lake was almost completely frozen.

A few days before the lake was completely empty and in all my years of driving this road I have never ever seen it like this.

So you can imagine my excitement. I parked in the small layby and had a wander around the lake. I got a few shots of the area but I just love this one it makes me smile.</image:caption>

<image:caption>On Thursday I decided to take a trip to the Dark Hedges. I had checked the weather forecast and it stated the fog was due to last until late afternoon.

I have only seen images of the Dark Hedges in the fog and always wanted to capture my own shot of it. When I arrived I looked around at the sheer beauty of the fog and the hedges but was taken aback of how eerie it was. Heightened by the thoughts of the Grey Lady that is seen sashaying between the gnarled trees.

Locals believe she is the ghost of a maid from the nearby house who died in mysterious circumstances centuries ago, others believe that she is a lost spirit from an old, deserted graveyard that is thought to lie hidden nearby.</image:caption>

<image:caption>So this evening after the gym I decided to edit a few pictures and I came across this early morning one from Whitby, North Yorkshire.

This was taken around 4.30am on a very cold morning on West Beach.

As most of my followers know Whitby is my second home and out of all the places that I have had the pleasure to visit it remains one of my most loved locations.

I havent been to Whitby for a few years but whilst editing this image I found myself missing my friends that live there and the area in general. It reminded me of many giggles, seagull attacks and the fear of walking the extension because I could see through the wooden slats on the pier.

At the time the sky was still blue but to the right I could see some clouds moving in so I decided that I would just wait as it wasnt long until sunset

I had a walk around on the fence line choosing my composition and decided on this view. I wanted to capture the wheat and the lovely colours in the sky. I came home with a few shots but this one is just a personal favourite.

When I arrived I was greeted with the beautiful sight of hundreds of poppies and blue cornflowers. As you are all aware the Poppy is my favorite flower so you can imagine how happy this made me. My own little piece of heaven.

Ive been enjoying my close up shots of nature at the moment throughout the lockdown period which is encouraging as I am intending in getting a Macro lens.</image:caption>

We were just sitting relaxing outside our tent after our day from travelling, to see a faint pink/red colouring in the sky. As Ashness Bridge is 10 minutes away from the campsite I decided to drive there for sunset hoping to capture a little bit of the colour.

So that has given me the opportunity to sit and look through my archive. I came across this picture. Captured early morning at Glenoe Waterfall. This is a spot I manage to fall in love with everytime I visit no matter the weather.

I was in my element and was the only person crazy enough to be out and up on the rocks.

I took myself off to Downhill Beach and arrived well before sunrise so I took a walk along the beach until I found a composition I was happy with.

The sunrise that morning was one of the most beautiful I have had the pleasure of witnessing. The little things are the big things in life. That's one thing I love about sunrise photography you usually have the whole place to yourself.

<image:caption>I took a drive today as I needed to get out of the house after being stuck indoors. I decided to go the coastal route which I know takes longer but I like driving through the little villages. It was raining so I couldnt stop and have my little wander's like I usually do so I decided to head to Ballintoy.

The wind was up, the rain was on and the sea was rough, conditions that I love. On the dive down the hill into the town I could see the waves crashing against sheep island and that pleased me. All i needed now was for the rain to stop for a while to allow me to get out with the camera.

When I arrived the rain was still on so I pushed my seat right back in my car, took my trainers off and put my feet up on the passenger side, got my flask of tea and my sandwiches and had myself a little picnic in my car watching the waves. After 30 minutes or so I got out of the car as the rain had eased so I walked round to the rocks at the secret beach.

I was met by this stunning view. I stood hoping the rain would stop and thankfully it did. I set my camera up and shortly afterwards a rainbow appeared and lasted a few minutes so I am happy that I captured that.

I decided to head to my favourite location, Ballintoy. We arrived about 1 hour after sunset and there were still some beautiful pastel colours in the sky.

The Aurora page advised that you may not see it with your eyes but the could be a possibilty that you could pick it up with camera.

I waited until it got a little darker and set my equipment up for my first attempt at Star Trail Photography. Around 1am I checked a few shots on my camera and was suprised to see faint signs of the Aurora.

I decided to stay for another hour to see if I could capture it any stronger. I managed toget this shot which is the strongest one from my collection and although the KP level was not at its best. I am pretty happy with how it turned out</image:caption>

<image:caption>A beautiful unusual sunrise at Pan's Bridge in Ballycastle. I recently haven't been sleeping to well and the morning I captured this image I think I had around 3 or 4 hours of broken sleep. I had been tossing and turning and no matter what I tried I could not seem to settle. I gave up trying to sleep so I got up, grabbed my camera bag for a 'just incase moment' and took myself a drive.

I hadnt planned to go anywhere specific but found myself 1 hour later in a spot close to my heart. Standing on Pan's Bridge gazing out to sea with the wind blowing in my hair and the fresh sea smell in my nose and listening to the sound of the incoming waves. Closing my eyes and taking some deep breaths to calm the mind and thinking about all the memories I have had here with friends, family and loved ones from my childhood up until the present day. Thinking about precious time with those that are most important to us and how life can snatch it all away from you in a single breath.

I eventually noticed the tide swirling around the steps and decided that it was time to move. I headed back up the beach towards the steps and stopped and turned around for one last glance towards the bridge and the sky had so many beautiful colours which I just had to capture. I ran back to my car grabbed my camera bag and tripod and headed back down. I was in such a rush to capture the light that I didnt even bother putting my water boots on and ended up with wet feet. This didnt bother me in that patricular moment but I had to say I had an uncomfortable drive home. But it was worth it.

<image:caption>I headed round the coast on Thursday as I had a day off and decided to head to Ballintoy as i knew strong winds where predicted. On my arrival I noticed the massive waves and took a walk round to the secret beach.

I was stunned to see that this section had changed a great deal. Around 5 foot of sand had been washed away revealing this massive rock right in the centre of the beach. The beach also seems wider, flatter and brighter due to all the exposed rocks. I have never before in my life seen the secret beach like this. You can watch a video off the changes on Epic Journeys Britain & Ireland's youtube channel.

<image:caption>This is an image from the archives from a few weeks back at Tyrella Beach in County Down looking towards the Mourne Mountains.

I had been on the beach for a while enjoying a nice walk and stood watching some Kite Surfers when I noticed some stunning colours starting to show. I walked back to my car and lifted my camera bag and headed back down towards the beach.

After about 20 minutes later I had the pleasure of witnessing one of the most dramatic sunsets I have ever seen.

<image:caption>Today I had originally planned to go to the Mournes for sunrise but that didnt happen and ended up going for sunset instead.

We arrived at Murlough Beach Nature Reserve early afternoon and went for a walk along the dunes whilst keeping our eyes on the sky as it was quickly changing.

The sun started to set and the clouds started to move in but you could also smell the change in the air as a snow storm started brewing over our heads. This was the last shot that I managed to get before the snow shower took hold.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Over the last few days my sleep has been all over the place again so I decided I would head round the coast for a sunrise shot. I headed to Ballycastle which meant I could call into Bay Cafe for breakfast.

The sun rises behind Pans Rocks Bridge but when I looked behind me there was some beautiful colours in the sky pink and blue pastel shades. So I wandered down to the rock and set myself up to capture some long exposure wave shots. Beauty in something so simple.</image:caption>

<image:caption>During the last heavy snowfall I headed out for a drive to see what images I could capture. I drove towards Ballycastle and I was stunned when I drove along this road. I thought that the view was amazing and made me feel like I was in some other country.

I have never seen these trees with so much snow on them. I parked my car at the side of the road and had a lovely walk up and down the road. I just loved the composition of this image, that the road is guiding you through the trees.

So glad that I headed in this direction.</image:caption>

<image:caption>I took myself on a little road trip around the North Coast today and spotted this location as I was driving past. I decided that I would stop on my journey home.

It was quite windy and the sky was threatening rain but I arrived on location and made my way through the stingy nettles, ouch is all I can say. I got the composition I wanted and thankfully for a few brief moments the sky turned this amazing colour.

A few moments later and the rain came on quite heavily, so I had to sprint back to the car.</image:caption>

<image:caption>A few days ago I was out with a photography friend and we decided to go Ballintoy as we could see from the top of the hill that the waves were quite rough.

We headed round to the secret beach and I wanted to capture something different. I used my telephoto lens and captured the waves crashing against sheep island.

<image:caption>The famous Stepping Stones are situated in the County Down Forest of Tullymore which is a photographers dream in Autumn. There are many images that one could capture here from waterfalls, to meandering streams, stunning stone bridges and of course the trees that share their colours. Tullymore is my weak spot in Autumn because of the falling leaves and the colours. I always come home from Tullymore smiling and excited to see my images. That was until my recent visit there last weekend.

I was shocked to see the devestation that was caused by gale force winds and extremely a very high river. 100 year old trees uprooted, parts of the forest path washed away, landslides and two of the wooden bridges smashed to pieces as well as the other set of stepping stones further up the river having massive rocks thrown in their path.

I have to say that after seeing how much damage had been caused it brought a tear to my eye. </image:caption>

<image:caption>As you know I usually head round the Antrim coast. Today I decided to head to Donaghadee Lighthouse in County Down. It was quite windy when I arrived but the sky was blue and the sun was shining. That didn't last very long as some dark moody clouds started to roll in.

I thought that it would make an interesting shot as the sun is behind me giving some brightness to the sea and lighthouse and the dark clouds coming in. Needless to say about 5 minutes after I captured this shot I headed back to the car as it started to rain quite heavily and decided to call it a day.</image:caption>

<image:caption>On Sunday morning I took myself out to the Groynes on Portstewart Beach. I knew the weather wasnt going to be the best but thought I would see if i could capture something.

I arrived with some wonderful wave motion and got the composition I was happy with and waited for the right moment to capture the incoming waves.

The tide was coming in pretty fast and had to keep a close eye on the sea and how close it was to the top of my wellies.

I captured a few shots with different wave motions but this one is my absolute favourite.

<image:caption>Today I went to Ballintoy after hearing that there would be gale force winds in coastal areas. I havent been out in a long time with my camera due to health issues, pet deaths, exam stress.

I headed towards the secret beach and all I can say is wow the change is crazy. I couldnt even get to the cave on the secret beach as it was full of water and rocks. There must have been about 8 foot of sand shifted as it reveals rocks I have never seen before.

The waves today were the biggest I have ever seen at Ballintoy. You can tell how far back I am standing in this photo and the waves were reaching me. I love Ballintoy at anytime of the year but when it is stormy it is by far my favourite.</image:caption>

<image:caption>So on Friday after work I took myself down to my caravan on the coast and spent a lovely few days there relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet. I took my camera with me in the off chance I might get something.

I met up with family and we headed to Ballintoy and had a walk along the pier. We kept checking the sky as there was a very dark grey cloud moving in from the left heading straight towards us. It wasnt long before the rain started so we all said our goodbyes and I got in the car to head back to my caravan.

I stopped in the layby on the main road to see the rain bands moving over the sea and the tiniest bit of colour managing to break through the clouds.

I jumped out of the car with my camera and tripod and captured this image which I just love.</image:caption>

I havent been to this spot for quite a while so a revisit was on the cards.

An amazing morning trip to this location as I had the exciting experience of seeing a Peregrine Falcon in flight and some grazing Sika Deers.

I couldnt drive on so I stopped the car on the side of the road jumped out and set up my equipment as soon as I could. It was absolutely freezing and within 10 minutes I had to get back to the car as I was shaking but think it was worth it.</image:caption>

On my way to this location I could tell that the sky was going to be perfect for this shot and knew getting through muddy river banks, long grass and nettles where going to be my first concern.

After dragging myself through i concentrated on finding my perfect composition. Once I got myself settled I stood and waited on the light whilst listening to the birds and the crickets.

<image:caption>I took myself a drive after work one evening last week and wasnt in the mood for a long drive. I thought about Blackhead Lighthouse and decided that is where I shall go for a walk.

This is a listed lighthouse in Whitehead, County Antrim . It marks the very northern end of Belfast Lough where it opens out into the North Channel that separates Northern Ireland and Scotland.

When I arrived it was still quite bright so I strolled along the promenade and stopped every now and then thinking about the shots I could capture here and that I really needed to spend more time here. I even had time to check out The schoolmasters Chamber.

After making my way up the steps I bumped into the family that were staying in the Lighthouse Keepers Cottage and asked if they would have any objections if I came onto the site to capture some shots They kindly said sure work away.

I came home with a few shots that I am very happy with.</image:caption>

The closer I got to home the colder it got and the freezing fog got thicker and thicker until you could not see in front of you. I set off with the intention of finding this location and within a few hours I was sucessful.

When I first arrived in Carnlough the sun was shining but on my climb the mist started to roll in. Once I got to the lake I could just make out the size.

I fired off a few shots and then just stood in awe at the sheer beauty of this location. Untouched natural beauty. I spent around an hour here until it started to get cold and the mist started to get thicker.

I just love this shot. Just so natural but that is my own personal opinion</image:caption>

<image:caption>Sunday morning I got up early to head to the mountains for some shots as we were expecting snowfall overnight.

I drove up through Glendun expecting to be greeted by snow but to my disappointment there was nothing but frost. I managed to get a few shots but I wanted more.

I noticed that the sea was quite choppy and there was still some beautiful light so I headed to my old faithful spot Ballintoy. I was like an excited child when I saw the wave action and that was me quite content for a solid 5 hours in and out of the water at different spots.

I captured this one with beautiful sunset colors reflecting of the rocks behind O'Rourkes.

I left pretty early to ensure I got a good spot as I know this can be a sought after location with other photographers. On arrival there was another photographer there. The very talented Gerry Judge Photography, but we managed to work the location.</image:caption>

When I captured this image it had been a dull and miserable day, raining for most of the morning and mid afternoon. The weather forecast said that it was to brighten up late afternoon so I decided to keep my plan and headed to Mussenden Temple as I had wanted to capure this type of image for a while.

I didnt expect much when I arrived as the sky was still grey with dark clouds. However I did notice the slightest bit of colour to the left hand side of the Temple so I thought you never know so I waited around. All I can say was wow, I am glad I did. The sky looked like it was on fire and those dark clouds where slowly fading. I just love how dramatic this image is. </image:caption>

<image:caption>I captured this image a few days ago at Ballintoy looking towards sheep island. I arrived around 16.30 pm to an empty car park. A closed cafe and not a person in sight. The first I have seen Ballintoy so quiet in a long time.

After walking round an empty harbour I decided to walk up the road to gain some height to capture this beautifully painted sky.

It felt very lonely but made me appreciate the beauty around me which many people aren't always able to see or feel or understand. Due to current global situation I have come to understand just how fragile life really is and to appreciate who is around me and what is around me and how lucky I actually am.

I hope my family, friends and followers remain safe.</image:caption>

This is a shot that I have wanted for a while but never had the opportunity as we dont have many poppies in our wee country.

I took myself a walk beside a field of Barley when suddenly I spotted movement in the field. To satisfy my curiosity I headed towards the colour that had grabbed my attention and you can imagine my excitement when I discovered a lone poppy.</image:caption>

I looked to my left and spotted this beautiful view. I got out of the car and captured a few images but this one has something magical about it and I really love it.

<image:caption>So today I had originally planned to head to Mussenden Temple for a sunset but on the drive round the coast I changed my mind and headed to The Giants Causeway.

When I arrived the place was packed with people which surprised me as it was bitterly cold today on the coast. After 2 hours or so there was only myself and one other photographer left.

According to legend, the columns are the remains of a causeway built by a giant. The story goes that the Irish giant Fionn mac Cumhaill (Finn MacCool), was challenged to a fight by the Scottish giant Benandonner. Fionn accepted the challenge and built the causeway across the North Channel so that the two giants could meet. In one version of the story, Fionn defeats Benandonner. In another, Fionn hides from Benandonner when he realises that his foe is much bigger than he is. Fionn's wife, Oonagh, disguises Fionn as a baby and tucks him in a cradle. When Benandonner sees the size of the 'baby', he reckons that its father, Fionn, must be a giant among giants. He flees back to Scotland in fright, destroying the causeway behind him so that Fionn would be unable to chase him down. Across the sea, there are identical basalt columns (a part of the same ancient lava flow) at Fingal's Cave on the Scottish isle of Staffa, and it is possible that the story was influenced by this.

After capturing a few shots I decided to head back as it got quite dark quite quickly but i thoroughly enjoyed my latest visit.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This image is one from the archives. I captured this image on Portrush Beach last year in the early evening as the sun was setting.

Some dark clouds were moving in creating a moody sky and some amazing colours. The image itself is looking towards the town from East Strand Beach. The image may not be the most amazing one you have seen but to me its perfect. In one moment from looking at this view I have a thousand flashbacks from early childhood to the present day. A beach that I have very happy memories from. I have my folks to thank for that for giving us those precious memories.

One of my earliest was collecting shells and pebbles of the beach and taking them home with me, rock pooling and then freaking out when I found a crab.

Being on holiday and my ferret Fred coming with us, we took him to the beach and of course he ran into the water and my brother ending up going in after him.

Running up and down the sand dunes, being chased by the red and black bumble bees. (Thats what we called them). To spending time with my partner and friends. All happy and all brought back from looking at one picture.

Anyway enough rambling on for now.</image:caption>

<image:caption>A few nights ago I took the opportunity to visit family in the Ballycastle area as the weather was gorgeous.

I headed to the beach for sunset as the colours where stunning and managed to capture this image. I have so many happy memories from this location from my childhood right up to this present day.</image:caption>

<image:caption>So this is one of my recent shots of Glenoe Waterfall. I headed out pretty early Sunday morning and managed to capture soft early morning light.

For a few brief moments there were occasional sun beams coming through the trees and I am so happy that I managed to capture it in this image.

I am actually in love with this shot and in all my years of going there I honestly dont think I have seen it more beautiful. I have had one printed for my own home and can't wait for it to be hanging on my wall.</image:caption>

On this particular day the weather was dull, the drizzle was on and off most of the day. The campsite that I stay on has a great rural, elevated, view overlooking Keswick which gives me the potential to know if theres going to be any kind of sunset.

There was a nice colour in the sky so I took a race down to Derwentwater Boat landings and managed to capture this wonderful colour.

<image:caption>For around one week we received weather warnings about heavy snow that was due to hit us along with gale force winds. Each morning when I woke up I looked outside and every morning I was disappointed to see that we hadnt even been lucky enough to catch a light dusting.

I decided I would go looking for the snow as I had heard that some places were lucky enough to get it. I made some sandwiches, some flasks of tea and wrapped up warm and took myself off a drive.

I headed for the coast and when I arrived into Larne the snow came on quite lightly and I didnt have much hope for it lasting but I remained positive.

The further along the coast I got the heavier the snow got and the stronger the wind became. I kept repeating to myself please let Ballintoy have snow as I have had this shot in my mind for so long. I parked the car and wandered along the road until I found this composition. I stood for a few minutes with my face looking up to the sky as it was still snowing and covering my camera with my hoodie.

For a few seconds I felt nothing apart from pure happiness as I had eventually captured the image I wanted, that was until a mighty gust of freezing wind decided to bring me back to reality quite quickly before I ran back to my car.</image:caption>

I drove round to the Ballycastle side and attempted it again. Thankfully I made it to the top of the mountain and captured a few images. This is the last that I captured and I just love it because the image captures the sunset, the cold feeling and the disappearing clear sky.</image:caption>

I thought to myself I wonder if I would make it down to Carrickfergus Castle before the light and colours disappeared. I ran into my house to grab my camera bag and car keys and made the short 15 minute journey to Carrickfergus.

When I arrived at the harbour the colour was still there and from the car I could see that the water was like a mill pond which is the exact conditions I had been hoping for.

The bridge links the mainland to the tiny island of Carrickarede. The bridge spans 20 metres and is 30 metres above the rocks below.

<image:caption>On Sunday I headed round to my favourite location. Ballintoy. I wanted to make the most of storm Jorge and the high tide coinciding with the high winds. On the drive round the coast the sea seemed quite calm but on the drive down the Whitepark Road overlooking sheep island I could clearly see that the waves were bigger than I have ever seen them. I got excited as to what I would capture this time around.

I walked round to the rocks next to the secret beach and saw the dark gloomy sky and the occasional rebounding wave creating this amazing view and this cool little rainbow. We had wind, rain, sunshine, clouds, sleet and snow all within a few minutes of each other.

Most people know this area for the filming of Game Of Thrones. But not to me as I have known this area since I was a little girl and quickly became a regular visiting spot for me.

I captured this image during the week on an extremely cold morning and was not helped by getting soaked by a large wave. My camera gear is fine, haha.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Sunrise at the Giants Causeway a few days ago. Quite a cold morning but glorious colours in the sky. An area of about 40,000 basalt columns as a result of an ancient volcanic fissure eruption.

Most of us here know the story that the Irish giant Fionn Mac Cumhaill (Finn MacCool) was challenged to a fight by the Scottish giant Benandonner. Fionn accepted the challenge and built the causeway across the North Channel so that the two giants could meet.

Benandonner flees back to Scotland, destroying the causeway behind him so that Fionn would be unable to chase him down. There are identical basalt columns (a part of the same ancient lava flow) at Fingal's Cave on the Scottish isle of Staffa.</image:caption>

On Friday evening after checking the weather and getting my car back I planned a visit to my most loved location Ballintoy as there was a high tide due along with strong winds. Perfect conditions for me to get out and get some shots as this is my favourite time of year.

This little spot I have never really spent much time at but the light was perfect. I timed my shot to capture an incoming wave.

<image:caption>A few days ago I took myself of out for some sunset pictures. I ended up on Whiterocks Beach on the County Antrim coast. I had a lovely walk in the sea, then I sat in the sand thinking about life and how precious it is and how quickly things are taken away.

Nowdays people are always rushing about and sometimes they forget to stop, take a deep breath and look around at the beautiful views that are that is right in front of them. I have to be honest I used to be one of those people.

Lately I am starting to appreciate the little things more like a beautiful sunset or birds chirping, even the wind blowing through the trees.

Be grateful for what you have in life. Make memories and cherish them.

<image:caption>This morning I woke up around 4am and decided to head out for a sunrise. It was quite frosty this morning when I left but thought I would persevere as I hadnt planned any shots in particular.

I headed for a coastal beauty spot and managed to get a few shots but on my walk around the ground still had a lovely covering of frost, then it hit me I knew the shot I wanted.

I headed back to one of my favourite locations and was met by a beautiful view.</image:caption>

<image:caption>A few days ago I took myself a drive in the snow and came across this stunning view. I have never seen this road with such a covering of snow before. I thought it looked like a scene from Narnia so I parked the car and found the composition that captured the scene in the best light.

I wanted the road in the centre, leading through the trees and the sense of balance on both sides of the image. l just love the contrast of the dark branches against the snow and grey sky.</image:caption>
